As far as my own personal background, I studied Theatre at both Smith College (Massachusetts, USA) and The University of Royal Holloway (England). While I have acted in my fair share of plays, my expertise is in directing. (I also have spent quite a few hours dressed in black running crew, hanging lights, painting sets or managing the call book.) I believe that the stage is where you bring address and challenge audiences regarding social issues, and I try to get my students to do the same in their art as well. My favorite time is working with students to create important relevant stories that none of us realized were hidden below the surface. I'm delighted to continue creating theatre with you, young artists!
