  2. In Lovesong, Scott Graham and Steven Hoggett wanted to show the importance of memories when it comes to the end of our lives. This is shown through the choreography, projections, and the set. In the choreography, the young and old couples intertwine showing the beginning and end of their story. Through the projection of the birds migrating it portrays the idea of things leaving and coming back. This supports the idea of remembering fond moments in your last moments. Lastly, the set supports the idea of memories through the leaves on the floor. The leaves also symbolize this idea of things leaving and coming back which relates to memories and the end of life.

  3. Director's Concept
In Lovesong, Steven Graham emphasizes that neither time nor death can deconstruct a true relationship and memory can make even the most solemn person vividly remember it.

    Evidence
    1. Peaches and birds returning after migration or change in season.
    2. The man reciting poetry of his past to remember his dead wife.
    3. Their love persists even after they disagree, death does not part them.

  4. In Lovesong it is emphasized by the directors Scott Graham and Stevem Hoggett how older couples who are struggling to come to terms with illness and death can have their life perpetuaded by the memories of their loved ones

    Evidence:
1- Intertwining of the old and young couples
2-Actors having exists and entrances in parts of the set e.g: refrigerator and closet
3- Idea of loop- when is the part of the younger couple (e.g: birds migrating/returning, leaves falling...)
