Create a process journal with supporting images (annotated), along with a write-up. You should be able to address the following. The journal may be in any format, but must meet the criteria listed below! Use your creativity!
Plan --Describe and discuss your costume design.
Be sure to include:
- What was the choice of character that you chose?
- What are the essential elements for this character?
- How did you incorporate design elements into your choices of a design?
- How did you incorporate your visual research into your design?
- Explain and justify your choices
Production -- Describe and discuss the production of one element of your costume
Be sure to include:
- How did you create at least one element of the costume on your own?
- What materials did you use?
- How was your design changed or modified throughout the process?
- What were some of the difficulties you encountered? How did your resolve this?
Final Reflection -- Realization of Costume & Reflecting on the Process
- How did the final design turn out? What are you happy with? What do you wish had gone differently?
- What did you learn or realize throughout this process? How might this affect you as a designer?
