Professional Devising Companies

For our collaborative project, you will need to research a Professional Theatre Company and bring some of their devising techniques to the group to try out.  We will also be using these techniques to demonstrate the creative process at Innovate:

Over the next week, take a look at this great list of theatre companies to think about which you would like to examine a bit further:

Please write the WHATSAPP group with the 2 groups you plan on researching. Do this ASAP (before the group leaves for London!)

Professional Devising Research - Due on Tuesday, Oct. 17
Basic Context -- How was the theatre company created? What are their beliefs/values as a company?

Performance History -- What shows have they created? How were these pieces received? Include a clip of the performance that demonstrates some of the key elements.

Practical Context -- How do they devise? What methods do they use? What are a few exercises they do to help with devising? Think about which would be most relevant to our work!

Personal Context -- What do you personally find intriguing and interesting as a performer?

This is should be written up as a formal blog post!
