Finding Scripts -- Play Publishing Sites

  • Student Focused
  • +More geared towards a student audience
  • +Lots of one-act and full length shows
  • +Most everything available online
  • -Not as well known scripts; can be silly or cliche
  • Playscripts (Good selection of scripts & you can read nearly the entire script for free immediately after you create an account.)
  • Pioneer Drama (Lots of scripts to choose from, but you really need to use the filters. There are a lot of silly ones here to sift through if that's not what you're looking for.)
  • Stage Partners (Not a wide selection, but some good titles. You can read most of the scripts online.)
  • Theatrefolk (Plays for MS & HS. Focused on students and their experiences. Have some more experimental styles to play with. You can read an excerpt online.)
  • YouthPLAYS (Growing collection of stronger plays. You can read a pretty full excerpt online.)
  • Dramatic Publishing (Quite a few well known pieces for a variety of audiences, except they don't have electronic copies of scripts available yet. Only via snail mail.)
