What to include in your journal:
*Images, videos, sound clips that inspire you
*Thinking about shows you've scene
*Designs you've created (even doodles)
*Ideas for future pieces

You have a beautiful bound journal in which you can sketch and draw, collect scraps of inspiration and write thoughts down. Also, you have a digital journal (the blog) which enables us to share video, photos and comments quickly and easily.
Some things to be aware of...
1) Always cite your sources (even if they are your own), especially with photos & videos. This is part of academic honesty at Graded and an integral part of the IB programme. Remember we learned about LARK the first day!
2) Pay attention to your writing skills! This is an academic class and your writing DOES count. Make sure you take time to review your work and are writing in a formal, academic way.
3) Include supporting images in your posts. This is an academic ART class, so think imagery! Even when I'm asking you to reflect on your work, try to include images to support the concept you are talking about. This could range from taking a picture of yourself performing, a photo of a sketch you did in class or even an image from the web (cited perfectly, of course!) Avoid only using images from the internet each time.
4) Take ownership! This is YOUR journal. I will require you to post and respond some times, but don't just wait for me to tell you when to create a journal. If you see a show, document that. If you have an epiphany while you're riding the bus home from a tournament, document that! You can add a wide range of media, so please do so!
YOUR TURN! Take the next few minutes to create your own THEATRE JOURNAL BLOG. Please copy and paste your link in the comment section below.
