The Met Gala 2019: CAMP!

The Met Gala, held on the first Monday of May, is one of my favorite fashion events. It feels like the true event that all celebrities go full force into focusing on fashion as a costume. It's always fantastic and fun to see.

This past Monday was no exception. From Bazaar, "The theme of the Met's 2019 Costume Exhibition is “Camp: Notes on Fashion.” No, not camp as in sleeping bags and tents, but camp as in exaggerated fashion. The exhibit is inspired by Susan Sontag's 1964 essay that defines camp as "love of the unnatural: of artifice and exaggeration" (Fisher, Lauren. harpersbazaar.com).
