Write a reflection on the Mitchell's workshop. What did you enjoy about the workshop? What is your take-away? What did you learn about her style of theatre? What do you appreciate about this style of theatre? How can you imagine using this style of theatre in the future? (Even if you didn't love it, think about a possible application!)
I thought this workshop was very interesting, as the concepts for the theory that was presented were much harder to comprehend. I really enjoyed the idea of invisible theatre in specific, as presenting outside of a traditional performing area brings a whole set of different challenges as well as intrigues the audience members. I would probably use it in the future in a more casual performance in which I could present in the streets to bring in a bigger audience, somewhat like "Crosswalk the Musical" by James Corden.
ReplyDeleteI loved the simplistic approach to theatre, the usage of miming or simple props would allow all to understand theatre in a new practical way. The push of language barriers as well as the motivation to take theatre into the world where it is not found as easily is very interesting and something I would be interested in integrating into the theatre i do in the future, by approaching it in a minimalistic and practical way.
